Organic Electrolyte Drink
It is Thirsty Thursday and I am running around like a mad woman to try and get all my to do’s done today. This will be a quick post but I really really want to tell you about my latest find. It is from Roar Organics and it is an Electrolyte drink. I discovered this company on one of my recent Costco trips. I LOVE the way Costco always has new goodies for me to discover. When I saw the box and it said electrolyte I was very intrigued. It has been very hot here in California and I have been sweating up a storm. Sorry if that was TMI. I normally do not drink these types of drinks because of the sugar and artificial ingredients they usually contain. The word ORGANIC had me stop and look. Now, YES there is sugar but it is mostly organic erythritol. As of right now, the research I have seen has said this is a good natural sugar alternative. Give it time and I am sure there will be more research funded by the sugar industry that says its bad for you. This is where the balance thing comes in. I do not use it every day but it is a good alternative for me right now. You make your own decision.
The 12 pack came with 6 cucumber watermelon and 6 mango clementine. The nutrition information is basically the same. The only difference was the cucumber watermelon had 1 gram of sugar and 5 grams of carbs ( 2 net carbs) and the mango clementine had 2 grams of sugar and 6 grams of carbs ( 2 net carbs ) They are both 10 calories. I am not going to get into the ingredients too much as you can see them above as well as on their site.
The taste was so refreshing. The sweetness was just right. I can not stand things that are too sweet. The watermelon was more pronounced than the cucumber in my opinion. It was truly delightful. There are two servings in each bottle. This is a pet peeve of mine but I guess its better than a lot of extra packaging for one serving bottles. Please always check your serving sizes. Just because this is only 10 calories does not mean I should down the whole bottle. I drank part of it in the afternoon and then the other 1/2 right before I went to bed. The potassium is a great way to help settle your muscles down for rest.
I did not try the mango yet, I will update you as soon as I do. I am hoping to review all of the flavors in the near future. In the meantime, check out their site and see where this amazing Roar Organic Electrolyte drink is stocked in your hometown. I would love to know what you think if you try it.
PS This afternoon after my mid-day walk I plan to enjoy the mango flavored organic electrolyte drink with some freshly made carrot and zucchini muffins. 🙂
Wait before you go what about making popsicles out of this amazing drink? OMG that sounds grand doesn’t it? Someone do it and let me know how they come out.
