No sugar added whipped cream? Are you serious? I know that is what you are thinking right? Trust me, I am dead serious and also very addicted to this treat.
This is a very easy recipe and one you will find yourself making all the time.
No Sugar Added Whipped Cream
1 cup of heavy whipping cream. I like to use Trader Joe’s brand
1/2 teaspoon Lankato Maple Syrup. You can also use real vanilla extract but this maple syrup rocks!
1/8-1/4 cup of Swerve confectioners sugar
Place all your ingredients in your food mixer. If you have time chill your food mixer bowl. This helps the whipping cream set up. It is not necessary so don’t fret if you do not have time. Place your mixer on high speed for about 3 minutes or as long as it takes for the whipping cream to get to the texture you enjoy. You can also substitute the maple syrup with lemon or almond extract depending on how you plan to use the no sugar added whipped cream.
I usually make a double batch of this once a week. My dog Roscoe gets some every other day as a treat. Unlike Xylitol which is VERY TOXIC for dogs, monk fruit and swerve are safe for them to ingest. I use this no sugar added whipped cream on fruit, on my gluten-free brownies, on top of my coffee and I have even been known to dip a spoon in the bowl and eat it by itself. I store it in a glass bowl. It stores well in the refrigerator for 4-5 days.
The maple syrup is made from monk fruit. Monk fruit provides delicious, natural, low-calorie sweetness from fruit, without all the calories of sugar.
