I know it’s crazy to think about, but summer is really right around the corner. It is funny because as I get older (cough cough) I no longer use the scale as a measure of my fitness progress. I now look in the mirror more and pay more attention to how clothes feel on me. I want to think this is a product of maturity . With this new outlook on what being fit means to me, I realize that I will not achieve this fitness goal by doing my standby love of just cardio. Mike has harped on me for years and I mean years on lifting weights. He honestly annoyed me every time he would say it. I know he had my best interest at heart but I really did not give a hoot about pumping iron.
It was not till I went to the doctor and he mentioned to me the importance of resistance training and weight lifting for women in my age group. It is not that I trusted this man in the white coat more than Mike. I think it was just the final straw of me giving in to what I know I needed to do.
I would love to challenge each of you to step out of your thinking and join Mike and I in our P90X challenge Group. I promise you that you will be glad you did. These programs changed my entire outlook on fitness. My body did not start changing till I started P90X3.
