Ok I know by now most of you have seen the Ben & Jerry’s new ice-cream reveal. I am so proud of Ben & Jerry’s for stepping up and taking on a bold move with this new dairy free product. If you have not seen it yet here is what I am talking about. Ben & Jerry’s has created 4 new dairy free flavors, that are NON-GMO- vegan and made with almond milk. Like I said I think it is fabulous that they have done this BUT check out the label. There is still 26 grams of sugar in it. WAY TOO MUCH for this healthy nut.
I am not kidding when I say you can make something just as satisfying in your own kitchen with 3-4 ingredients that you have right now.
All Natural Chunky Monkey Ice-Cream
Take one frozen banana and place it in a food processor or high speed blender.* ( see below) Add 1 tsp of REAL vanilla. Blend these two together till you have a creamy texture. Scoop out the creamy yummyness and place it in a cute dish. (It has to be cute, come on) Top it with 5 walnuts and 5 dark chocolate chips.
I dare you to try this and tell me it was not good. I want to hear from you. What did you think?
If you are following the 21 Day Fix Eating Plan this would count as 1 Yellow ( treat) If you did not add the chocolate chips it would count as 1 Purple and 1 Blue
You can do this fun treat with any frozen fruit. I used mango here.
