As I promised all of you I am going to do a day by day review of my first experience with the 21 Day Fix Extreme. I will be 100% honest throughout these daily reviews. I did the Original 21 Day Fix over a year ago and LOVED it. I have done the Original Fix a few times since but did not always do it 100%. I am going to be doing the 21 Day Fix Extreme 100% so here is hoping I get the same results. These posts will be short as there will be a lot of them and I don’t want to bore you all to tears. I am doing these for my own good as much as I am doing it to share the journey with you. These posts help keep me accountable 🙂
So as you probably know now from my short video the 21 Day Fix is all about teaching you portion control and having you do daily 30 minute workouts.
When you first start the program you are walked through how to determine how many daily containers you get for each color. It is determined on body weight.
My bracket gives me the following allotment of containers each day:
3 Greens (veggies), (I normally go over on this one by two but was told that this was ok as long as I don’t exceed 2 and I only do it with the green container.
2 Purples (fruits)
4 Reds (proteins- lots of options for Vegans and Vegetarians)
2 Yellows ( Carbs)
1 Blue( Fats)
1 Orange (seeds, oils and dressings)
2 TSPS ( nut and seed butters, & olive and coconut oil)
The plan has a host of options. It is not a plan where you are told you can only eat this or that. The book gives you some suggestions but it is more about making healthy choices from foods you like. Things like refined sugar and hydrogenated fats are not allowed as well as any other DUH foods that are not good for you 🙂
I started Day 1 out by first drinking a large glass of warm lemon water. I then waited about 30 minutes and went in and did the Day 1 workout. Day 1 is called Plyo Fix Extreme and it was EXTREME that is for sure. I would have liked to see more warm up time and more cool down time but I can just add that in myself now that I know what to expect. There is very little rest time between the sets so it is for sure go time once you hit play. Next came the food 🙂
Breakfast- Was Shakeology with 1/2 Frozen Banana and sautéed mushrooms with yellow squash.
Lunch- Mixed Green salad with diced veggies, real crab, organic sprouted pumpkin seeds, organic strawberries and fix dressing
Snack- Plain Goat Milk Yogurt with Organic Berries
Dinner- Homemade Split Pea Soup with Organic Ham and Organic Raspberries
Snack- Hard Boiled Egg and Fruit Infused Water
Never hungry 🙂 I am doing this with 40 other amazing people in my challenge group. They are all killing it and they help keep me motivated. Doing these types of programs in challenge groups I feel is crucial for success. We share food ideas, we support and encourage each other and most of all we keep each other dialed in to moving forward. I would love to have you in our next group. Moving on to day 2
