This fall I have spent more time in the kitchen than normal. I am loving it. I love hummus and really never thought about making it on my own till recently. Wow have I been missing out. This is one easy dish to make and you can do so many things with it. I love this on crackers or on top of my Mexican salad even.  In this recipe I put a can of black beans because I realize most people do not have a pressure cooker but I really like using the cooker better. 1 can of organic black beans (BPA Free liner or use dry beans and cook in the pressure cooker)
1tsp of olive oil
1-2 cloves of garlic
touch of fresh lemon juice water to your liking of texture sea salt to taste
pepper to taste



Drain and rinse organic black beans
Put rinsed beans into a food processor
Add olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, a little water and blend
Add more water to desired consistency
Add sea salt and pepper toward end of mixing
If this recipe is too bland for you or you want to spice it up you can add: onion, basil, spices, red pepper, or sundried tomato
This goes great with rice crackers or spread on rice cakes
